KClinics
The health and safety of our clients, visitors and team is central to everything we do at KClinics. We maintain a clean, safe and well-run environment and follow recognised standards for clinical hygiene and infection control. This statement summarises our commitment and the main measures we take.
We take our responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related regulations seriously, providing a safe environment for everyone on our premises. We follow guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and recognised infection prevention and control standards relevant to aesthetic and dental practice, and we keep our policies and equipment under regular review.
We maintain rigorous cleaning and disinfection routines throughout the clinic. Surfaces and treatment areas are cleaned and disinfected between clients, hand hygiene protocols are strictly followed, and appropriate personal protective equipment is used and changed between clients. Our procedures are designed to reduce the risk of cross-infection and to keep treatment areas safe and hygienic.
Wherever possible we use single-use, disposable items, which are safely discarded after each client. Reusable instruments are cleaned and sterilised in line with recognised decontamination standards before reuse, and equipment is regularly serviced and maintained. Clinical and sharps waste is segregated and disposed of through licensed waste contractors in accordance with applicable waste regulations.
Our treatments are carried out by appropriately trained and qualified practitioners who hold the relevant professional registrations for their field, including registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) for dental professionals. Our team receives ongoing training in infection control, safe use of equipment, first aid and emergency procedures, and works within their scope of practice and professional standards.
We carry out risk assessments for our premises and procedures and complete a suitability assessment before treatment, taking account of your medical history, allergies and any contraindications. We obtain your informed consent before treatment and provide clear aftercare advice. The clinic has emergency and evacuation procedures in place, and trained staff are available to respond to any incident.
We record and review accidents, incidents and any adverse reactions so that we can respond appropriately and learn from them. Where required, relevant matters are reported to the appropriate authorities, including under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR). If you experience any concern following a treatment, please contact us promptly so we can support you.
You can help us keep you safe by giving full and accurate information about your health, medications and allergies, telling us of any changes in your health, following all pre- and post-treatment advice, and letting a member of staff know straight away if you feel unwell during your visit. If you have any health and safety questions, contact us at hello@kclinics.co.uk or 020 8050 0750.
